The Foodwatch site is closing
No video selected.

From the end of June 2023, nutritionist Catherine Saxelby will be retiring. It's been an action packed whirlwind of activity over the last few months but from July no new articles will be posted to the Foodwatch website. It will remain accessible to all so you can find your favourite recipes or reference material … but anything new will be posted on Instagram.

Time to go

After more than 20 years of giving nutrition advice, it’s time for a change. This is a new direction for Foodwatch and for nutritionist Catherine Saxelby.

The Foodwatch website is closing for new material at the end of June 2023. Over the years, I’ve tried my best to summarise my position fully on the myriad of issues that affect us – the pros and cons surrounding intermittent fasting, paleo and keto diets; meat-eating versus no-meat diets; new foods such as insects or collagen; and losing weight – with health in mind.

I thank all my valued loyal readers for their support and interest since the 1990s.

To all future visitors, this site is now closed and will not be maintained. There will be no NEW material added.

I shall post new content as and when I see it in the media to Instagram, which I just love.

While it’s sad to say good-bye, I want to make this transition as smooth and painless as possible for everyone.

Thanks to everyone who has supported Foodwatch over the years. It has been an honour and a privilege to work with you all. All the best in health from me, Catherine Saxelby. May you always find what you are looking for in life.

The bottom line

Everything comes to an end eventually. I could have said nothing, just slipping away into oblivion. But that’s not me! It’s time to say farewell. I’m grateful for my time here helping you eat right.
